Same-day crown, onlay, or broken tooth visit

Broken tooth? Same-day crowns and fixes are possible.

Radiant evaluates the tooth, then uses digital scanning, Exocad design, 5-axis in-office milling, zirconia crowns, and conservative onlay options to restore it the same day when clinically appropriate.

  • 5-axis zirconia crowns designed and milled in-office
  • Conservative onlays and partial-coverage options when a full crown is not needed
  • Digital scan, design, and restorative planning with Dr. Jay

The best same-day result is not always a full crown.

A broken tooth may need a full-coverage zirconia crown. Or it may be better treated with a more conservative onlay, overlay, or partial-coverage restoration that preserves more natural tooth. The point is to diagnose first, then choose the strongest appropriate option.

5-axis zirconia crowns

For selected teeth that need strength and full coverage, Radiant can design and mill high-strength zirconia restorations in-office instead of sending every case to an outside lab.

Conservative onlays

When the tooth does not need to be cut down for a full crown, partial-coverage restorations can protect the weak parts while preserving healthy enamel and tooth structure.

3D printed options

Digital design and 3D printing can support conservative partial-coverage planning, prototypes, and selected restorative workflows when clinically appropriate.

Built for the local patient who wants a real answer fast.

This page is for broken teeth, old crown problems, large failing fillings, and patients who were told they may need a crown. The goal is not to promise that every tooth can be finished in one visit. The goal is to quickly understand whether the tooth is restorable and what restoration makes the most sense.

1

Diagnose

Exam, digital x-rays, bite review, and scan. CBCT may be used when deeper anatomy needs review.

2

Choose the restoration

Full zirconia crown, onlay, overlay, buildup, temporary stabilization, referral, or implant planning if the tooth cannot be saved.

3

Design and deliver

When same-day care makes sense, the restoration is designed, milled or printed as appropriate, finished, checked, and bonded.

Good candidates for a same-day restorative visit.

Same-day dentistry is most valuable when the issue is urgent, local, and restorable. Some teeth still need specialty care or traditional lab work, but many patients can leave with a definitive restoration or a clear plan.

Broken or cracked tooth

  • A cusp broke off a molar
  • Pain when biting on one side
  • Large filling with visible cracks

Old crown or filling failed

  • Crown came loose or broke
  • Old filling fractured
  • Food packing around a weak tooth

Second opinion

  • Told you need a crown
  • Want to know if an onlay is possible
  • Want a digital, diagnosis-first plan

Need help deciding if your tooth can be saved?

Call Radiant Dental Care or send the callback form. The right next step may be a same-day zirconia crown, conservative onlay, temporary stabilization, root canal referral, extraction, or implant planning. The important part is getting a diagnosis before the problem gets worse.
